What are my qualifications?

I was raised with dogs as equals and have a particular gift with;
communication and training

I'm also knowledgeable in:
grooming, health, nutrition, preventative medicine,
alternative and traditional treatment and medical procedures,
fertility and whelping procedures as well as conformation handling

I hold a valid Saint John's Pet First Aid Certificate

I was raised by 3 strong women who were dedicated dog fanciers

My Aunt, Nana and Mom were involved with dogs from before I was born.
I was an only child and spent all my time with dogs either at home, the family pet shop, my Aunts or at dog shows.
Sadly, Nana is no longer here but my Aunt and Mom are still active in breeding and showing.

As a young adult I was lucky to find employment as an office manager for a holistic cat and dog food company located in Victoria, BC

In recent years I have come full circle and returned to my original childhood dream... to follow in my families footsteps with dogs.

I became professionally involved with small dogs in 2004 with the purchase of my first Yorkie.
We trained in conformation handling and competed in conformation shows.
She obtained her Canadian Championship title in October of 2006, at the early age of 2 years old and only 1 year of shows.

During that same month I also obtained a Canadian Championship title for a local breeder that had hired me.

Unfortunately I've been unable to get back into the conformation ring... but things have fallen into place and I'll be returning in a few short months.
